Lisa G. Ryan Connor

Lisa Ryan graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She then received her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School.  While in law school, Ms. Ryan was selected to participate on the National Moot Court Team, and she had the privilege of working as a research assistant for Professor Jocelyn Benson.  In addition, Ms. Ryan had the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Rudy Nichols of the Oakland County Circuit and also for the Honorable Diane Druzinski of the Macomb County Circuit Court.  After law school, Ms. Ryan worked as an associate attorney at Flood Law, specializing in family law and criminal law.  While at Flood Law, Ms. Ryan was quickly brought into the family law unit, working directly with Marcus Connor in family law litigation.  In 2013, Lisa Ryan branched off from Flood Law to form her own matrimonial law firm of Connor & Connor, PLLC, specializing in family law and other specialized areas of litigation.

Marcus B. Connor

Marcus Connor graduated from Boston College, majoring in both economics and philosophy.  He then received his Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School.  During law school, Mr. Connor participated in the International Law School Program with Notre Dame and served as a clerk with Baker McKenzie in London, England.  After graduating from law school, Mr. Connor became a Wayne County assistant prosecuting attorney.  While at the prosecutor’s office, Mr. Connor honed his litigation skills with the majority of his time spent in the trial division, including time in both the homicide unit and community prosecution. 

 

After nine years, Mr. Connor left the prosecutor’s office to become a partner at Flood, Lanctot, Connor, Stablein, P.L.L.C.  During this time, he continued to focus on litigation, including juvenile, neglect, criminal defense, family law and driver’s license restoration.  Mr. Connor then began to focus his practice primarily on family law, following his own divorce.  After going through his own divorce and realizing the impact it had on his own life, he dedicated his practice primarily to family law in the hopes of helping others going through this often emotional and trying time.  In 2013, Marcus Connor branched off from Flood Law to form his own matrimonial law firm of Connor & Connor, PLLC, specializing in family law and other specialized areas of litigation.
